Well Jesse, I appreciate the invite, but I doubt there is a female of the species existing on the planet who will truly appreciate me and my Jeep/Willys addiction. I have however heard of wild women living in the wilds of the rural N. American continent who will occasionally risk discovery and are actually willing to be seen in public with such a Jeepaholic as myself. Over the last 15 years or so, I've been searching for such a creature but I am now at the point that I must admit they are only alive in the minds of crazy crypto-zooligists and wannabe gravity bending cookes like myself. I will most likely spend my remaining days on this earth playing with rusty Willys parts all day, then spraying some sort of pheromone type spray on myself and languishing my weekend nights drinking beer and recollecting my life's mistakes at this new fangled meeting place called "Chille's". From what I understand, its where all the losers go to meet people.
Back to the Jeep stuff:
But first I caught another 6' vermin in my chicken coop. By hand, ---- no snakes were harmed in the snapping of these pictures!

Then I went on down to see my good friend "The Durtch" and picked up a few goodies. The last items I've been neglecting which happen to be the last pieces I need to complete the frame and get the tub back on.....
He and is very lovely 4'8" 90 year old wife were there to greet me....and BTW everyone, if you know some elderly people out there somewhere in the states....then please go and talk to them as often as you can. Our nation's elderly are a true treasure for our country. They have so much to offer to the younger generations and are overlooked and often shamelessly discarded.
That being said, this dirty dog which I've often and affectionately referred to as "The Dirtch", promptly, as soon as I arrived, hit me over the head with a mallet, then stole my bank card, went to the bank and proceeded to withdraw every last dime in my checking account. Despite being a 90 year old man, I had no idea what happened to me......and I'm a combat vet, a former boxer (amateur and pro) and a special operations vet.....I still had no idea what hit me........that old man was crafty as the Sirens in Homer's Odyssey.
As soon as I awoke, the next thing I saw was the following objects in my car and a rather large ATM withdrawal receipt in my pocket. Well, anyway, here's what I found in my possession when I arrived at the house.
Two cool sets of NOS hubs including a cool NOS sticker and set of directions.....before The Dirtch whooped me, I found these on a back isle in his warehouse......They are NOS for sure. I could not find a scratch on the hub housings. They've never been used at all. Also I found an original set of directions too.

I saw these things and thought that they were the same as my "Dualamatics". They are the same design but have a different face. I know my Dualamatics have a rather weak aluminum cam that can be easily broken but not so easily replaced. So when I saw these I snapped up the four unused hubs that he had.

I also picked up enough junk to rebuild my Ross steering box.

And, not sure if I posted it before, but the 90 year old "Dirtch" also had recently scored an M416. He had already sold it before I could make an offer, but here it is anyway.

Let's see,,,,what else,,,,I also discovered "The Dirtch" had placed a new gas tank, sending unit, and a new master cylinder in my vehicle for the trip home.
Good trip, even though I got whooped by an old guy.
But he did throw in the CJ5 light bar and four old school KCs for free.....what a nice guy!

Also on a side note......here's a couple teaser pics of my new roof top tent I've got mounted on my MJ.

Before you think, "Jeez, just finish the dang Jeep and stop subjecting us to this ridiculous thread"....I present our latest sponsor. This brief and inconsequential update is brought to you by the late and most very, very great - Jeff Buckley! He sings as good and even better than Roy Orbison and dare I say even Marty Robbins. You will never hear a better version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah".
