Fall Colors Tour 2013

Just a little teaser.  The climp up Mt Princeton.  The valley to the left in the first photo is where you find our home base, The Thirsty Dirt Ranch.

We haven't left timberline in this photo, so we are probably around 11,000 feet.  For those of you flat landers that don't know what timberline is...

It is the point where conditions and elevations make it impossible for trees to grow.  You can see this line in the second picture.

Photos and words can't describe what you get to see and be a part of when here at this event. Bucket list item.  Everyone should try to make it to the Fall Colors Tour at least once in your life time.

Tim

Great pics Tim - I'm hoping there's more where that came from. I was watching the 2A page posts on this very closely last week. Every time I checked in over there it was an exercise in self-abuse:  I was psyched to see new pics but at the same time even more frustrated that I wasn't there!

Some day I've GOT to get out there.
Maybe when I retire in 6 years.
Sigh.

We can't seem to embed videos on our 3A site, but here is a fun look at all the Willys Jeeps stopped on Aspen Ridge...

The tour was a blast as it is every year.  I am blessed to have had the opportunity to participate for the last 4 years.  Here are most of the videos my son and I shot:

At the end of the Fall Colors Tour in Colorado, Jpet handed me this sign, given to me by FBill.
It made my day....I have it hanging at Haines Garage!

Tim, the elevation at the top of the road on Mt. Princeton was 12,144 ft., according to my GPS. One of two places where we reached over 12,000, and South Cottonwood was 11,980 or somewhere thereabout.   BW
