That clutch cable breaking could be a blessing in disguise.� Better now than when you're cruising down the road.� That bad boy is shot!
I would replace the cable and all items in 1955s photo above.� Start fresh and clean.�

No doubt Tim. I almost ran thru the back up my garage wall backing it to tuck the Jeep away for the night. Not because it broke from being old, but a cotter pin went missing thus letting the crosspin to come out and letting the cable go, causing the clutch to immediately engage. Had to get a new cable and shift fork as they went thru the bellhouse blender.
Those are an easy fix my friend, don't let this little stuff get to ya. Just take everything a step at a time. Before you know it, you'll be grin-in ear to ear scooting down the road.
