Battery Cables

Hi all, I'm new to the forums and have a question regarding the negative battery cable routing on my 1949 CJ3A.  The original battery cable has been replaced with a "parts store" cable that is connected from the negative battery terminal to one of the water pump bolts.  There is a flat braid about 12" long near the passenger side motor mount connecting the frame to the engine block.  I have new proper gauge cables and want to connect them to the original factory locations.  Can someone assist me with the correct connection points for the negative side cables?

Look on the front of the battery tray, just behind the grille. There should be a hole there. The negative cable is attached there using a nut, bolt and star washer.

It's connect to the frame just in front of the battery tray. Between the battery tray and front grill.

Thanks guys, I'll look for the location behind the grille to connect the negative cable from the battery.  Does it sound like my ground strap between the frame and engine plate at the passenger side motor mount is correct?
