1953 Willys CJ3A FARM JEEP Stored Since The 80's

Print Post
I bought a 1953 CJ3A Willys Farm Jeep with Monroe 3 Point Hitch in Wisconsin back in the late 80's and put it away for later restoration.  Well that never happened and now health issues says it's time to let stuff go.  I've gathered rare accessories galore and literature not available anywhere to help this project.  I want a CJ3A enthusiast to do this project with his son / grandson for Willys Shows.  A very original example, never restored, you can buy / trade for the basics or add rare accessories. let's talk.  I'll sell the basic Farm Jeep for $3500. If you want more we can work it out. There's a Newgren Single Bottom Plow, a Roper Post Hole Digger, Rear PTO w/ Pulley, Several Governors to choose, Front Counterweight, Koenig and Ramsey Winches, and almost every printed word Willys ever did about odd ball accessories.  Now, We're in Winter in Maine and this is in deep storage in a semi trailer. I'd prefer to leave it undisturbed till spring.  I'll even offer to bring it to The Great Willys Picnic on June 12 in Kempton, PA for $350 CASH TRUCKING.  You'll be the envy of the show, except for the NEWTON JEEP MOWER I sold there last year, which will be on display.  What trades would BLOW MY DRESS UP?? A DJ3A to replace my wrecked Miss Willy, An Aero Willys driver, A Nash, A Hudson, A Studebaker or who knows??  Don't ask for the accessories separately.  Anything left after this Farm Jeep Project goes will be available then. More Pix??  Just Ask. I'm just back on The CJ3A Page and would really like to pass this on.

Hi Glenn, good to see you again here.
It does look like a very good candidate for a restoration.
You did not mention if you have the title for it.

Also, I think it deserve more pics. At least i would like to see more.

Welcome back

It looks to be real solid. I think Ryan needs it!

I have seen this Jeep and it has not strayed from the front of my mind since. I would love to own it and drive/use it just as-is. I think it would almost be a shame to "restore" it.

But alas, Glenn will likely find someone with more funds and storage space than I have for it at the moment.

Hi Glenn. This is funny. I joined this forum yesterday to be able to research info for our farm jeep. In looking thru this I find this. Do you still have this 3A and implements? PM me if so.

Thx,
Lew

PS I followed Miss Willys on eWillys. Did you fix her?

UPDATE:  The 1953 Willys Farm Jeep Project sold last Saturday thanks to Ryan and The East Coast Willys Association.  The buyer declined the accessories so to quote from the ad:
There's a Newgren Single Bottom Plow, a Roper Post Hole Digger, Rear PTO w/ Pulley, Several Governors to choose, Front Counterweight, Koenig and Ramsey Winches, and almost every printed word Willys ever did about odd ball accessories.

Email me at  glenns@tdstelme.net  if interested.  Large lot sale would get me excited.

UPDATE AGAIN:
I just got off the phone with a guy I've dickered with on the package for a couple years.  He bought everything left.  Thanks,  Glenn
