	Hi all, I've deconstructed my 50 cj3a project including the brakes...but one of my rear drums is bent from a stud replacement gone bad by a previous owner. Im wondering if anyone would have a single 9" brake drum they would sell. Its the kind that is behind the wheel hub, and the ones i have have the feeler guage slot. I'd prefer one that is clean enough and straight enough to not need turning...(last time i tried to get drums turned was a bad experience) Thankyou. dave miles

	I probably have one. I'll do some rummaging in the next day or two and let you know. EDIT: I checked my stash and the only drum I have left is so beat up it wouldn't even be worth shipping it to you.

	Ryan_M, Thanks very much for looking. Jeepfever, Gee I think they're the same. (I just looked on Walcks, they list the drums as the same for MB, CJ2a, CJ3a...) Here's a picture of my drum. Note how the drum is behind the hub. Note the feeler gauge slot at the 9 o'clock position. Unfortunately the only way to remove the drum from the hub (front or back) on this style is to press the studs out...I could do that and return hub if necessary. Thanks for taking a look... 	To remove the hub from the drum, you need to press the stud after you unswaged it. If you try to press the stud without unswage it before, you can bend the drum.

	QJ, I see what you're saying...I just looked at the universal manual for CJ's and there is a cross section view in the wheel section and it does plainly show the stud swageing. So in order to prevent damage (which I see now is exactly what happened to the drum I have now by the previous owner), I was thinking of maybe milling/drilling the heads off the studs and just pressing them through the opposite way...some folks seem to say that's best...then buy new studs. Anyway, I know new drums are available, so I'll keep that as my fall back plan. I'll scan craigslist too...

	With this talk of studs, brings up a question. Are you needing LH or RH threads? I would not need the hub returned, so no need to remove studs. I forgot to check my stash today.

	Hopefully I have not spoken too soon, (that I have a spare for you) . I just took a quick look at collection. I knew that I had 4 hub/drum assemblies, and assumed that they all came from '2A when I swapped to 11" brakes approx 20 years ago. But the 4 assemblies I have are all for the front . . 2 of those must be from my '2A, but not sure what the other two are. . I also have 2 drum-only's. None of these drums have the feeler gage slot shown in your photo. Are the drums interchangeable from front to back? If so, I may have what you need. (if you don't necessarily need the feeler gage slot. I can post photos if you are still interested. If any of these fit, my price is very reasonable - > no charge, but you pay shipping.

	JeepFever, Yes they are interchangable from front to back, it's a matter of taking out the studs and removing the hub, then swapping on the appropriate front or rear hub. I can do that (I just bought a press, wow I love that thing). Also, no feeler gauge hole is no big deal. There are procedures to adjust brakes without feeler gauges. If one of those is 9", I think it will work for me. That's a very kind offer, and i'd gladly pay whatever you need for shipping/handling. Let me know... and thanks.

	This is what I have. Those drum-onlys do not look like the right style. If the fronts are what you need I can send one. Let me know if you need photo from different angle etc. They are 9", the camera angle makes them look different sizes.

	JeepFever, I think I agree, the lower ones in your photo shows that it is the style that goes behind the hub, and 9" is correct too. The fact that they're front hub is not a big deal, I can swap hubs, and, if it's not a problem, if one of those front ones you are offering has LH threaded studs, I would prefer that since I can more easily do a switcheroo with the front hub/brake assy I have now (that needs new studs) and I can switch that one to the back. whew. But thanks again, if your still up for it, I'd gladly send payment/shipping...let me know. Dave

	One of them is LH, that works out good, because I would prefer to keep the RH. P.m. your address. I am not sure the best way to ship, . . would "flat rate box" at the post office the best for something this heavy?
