Walcks is a main source for many. Carl Walck and his staff have supported the flatfender hobby for many years with quality parts and good customer service, and lately they have posted up many youtube videos about fixing the typical jeep that are well worth watching.


Ron Fitzpatrick is great, too.. RFJP  located at g503.com.   Many of our parts with the WWII numbering are MB parts, " a-1234" parts, but Ron also keeps some 2A and later stuff.

Kaiser Willys is another well known supplier.

Willys Acres in Canada is another..

Classic Enterprises makes good sheet metal parts.

Midwest Military, John Bizal, makes some spot on parts...worth asking if he has what you need.

Army Jeep Parts , Levittown, PA specializes in the earlier stuff but may have CJ stuff.

Willys Overland supplies the Replitub. MD Juan makes it and they make it fit.

Rigid Steel is an importer of repop stuff. I can't find his current website..

D and L Bensingers in PA is another MD Juan dealer and also does work on jeeps.




As far as who is the best.....All of them are when they have the part you need at the right price. You will need to shop around, comparing part price, delivery, customer service, and quality of the parts. Be aware many suppliers buy their parts from bigger places like Crown Automotive or MD Juan or Omix ADA, and the offshore parts often have issues. NOS or USA made repro parts are normally closer to the original part quality than some of the repop stuff.


No supplier is perfect, so you will end up hearing stories about train wrecks at every supplier. But, read between the lines when you find those stories....How well did the supplier respond to the problem?


And also... if you are on a budget, it is NOT mandatory to replace everything with brandy new parts. Going to swap meets and jeep shows, and buying used stuff here, is also perfectly fine when rebuilding that old jeep.  For instance, I often hear folks grousing about the high cost of machine work, yet at least once a month or more often if you count all the forums on the net, I see people selling recently rebuilt or good running engines for 50 percent or less of what a rebuild of your own engine would cost.

For the use most of us give our jeeps, is it really mandatory to have a perfect motor? A little smoke upon startup, a quart every 500 miles, when you only put 1000 miles on a year, is no big deal.  If you are going to be running Moab and Colorado trail rides, you might want to consider going for the best you can afford in the drivetrain. If you aim is to build  a 100 percent accurate factory stock jeep, especially if it is a rarer model, yes, it will be costly. 25,000 into a restoration is not unheard of. ($2000 into a daily driver is also possible!)


A parts jeep also may be a great source of some stuff needed, and when you are finished you can sell off what is left. Don't fall into the trap of thinking....it isn't that far from a good jeep, I'll fix this one too, or you will end up like a certain guy in Texas I know. Wink
