This section is a place for all here who have the knowledge of typical newbie problems and their solutions... If you think of a good FAQ topic, and you don't have the answer, post it anyway.. Someone will answer it eventually.. If you just did a repair to your jeep, and you documented it with pictures and can put together a simple how to, this is the place to do that and share your knowledge with the entire jeep world.

Some topics that would make great FAQ posts:

Setting your carburetor adjustments, including the mixture needle thingie..(I know it has a real name but my brain doesn't remember it right now..lol)  Carl??

Changing points..Setting them...Testing them...

Using a Dwell meter /points tester

Checking coils and condensors..

How to bleed brakes by yourself, or with another person

How to adjust  brakes

11 inch brake conversions

Fuel system testing

Installing the welting around the radiator (early models)

Typical tire sizes that work , and what fits with a lift, where to buy

Torque settings for the engine , transmission, Transfer case, and axles..

Removing a steering wheel

Repairing a cracked steering wheel

Installing Tight Steer

Rebuilding a steering box

Build your own wiring harness

Add 12 volts to your jeep

Is my jeep a 3A, a 2A, or a DJ??

If you want to post on one of these or many other typical "things everyone needs to know eventually....and you have no original material but you do have a link to a great page about the topic...go right ahead. In fact Walck's has a good series of videos if someone would like to post a thread linkking to all of them it would be great.

It is up to you guys now!!

Just wanted to add to this. I see it has been mostly Bill and I doing the FAQs. If you are working on your project, and come across something that would be really helpful to others, please add it here! I learned something new about turn signals in the stock lenses!

Another FAQ idea that comes to mind is how to polarize a generator. I've never had to do it, and I'm sure other people would like to know!

I don't know how the tailgate question got into this thread, but I moved it to its own thread...As long as we are here though, we still need some how to's written up....so if you are doing a project on one area of your jeep feel free to take photos and create a new thread in this section of the whole process. THANKS!
