Beginning a family Jeep restoration
« on: April 28, 2018, 12:33:36 AM »
Hello all,

I recently went and picked up a Jeep and bantam trailer from my parents place and am starting the teardown process. Any pointers are welcome. I haven't had a chance to look over all the pages yet, but am looking forward to going through them!

Looking good so far - looks like you have a really solid foundation here.  Good luck!

Well...I am in Meridian Idaho actually. Figure most people know Boise though. I will work on getting more pictures up soon. Plan to post some of my progress (and struggles) along the way.

Thanks for all the welcomes!

I have removed all of the interior seats and gas tank. Next to remove engine... That might take longer.

Yep, it has a PTO winch on the front.

As for the modified tub...to my knowledge the tub itself has not been modified. There is the added brace near the seats and then there is some additional flashing around the doors. Do you see something else that makes you think it has been modified more? Just curious because I was under the impression that is how all the tubs are.

Wow, now that you point it out it is way different... Guess I was blinded by my love for the Jeep and the memories in it... Haha
