Lug nut opening - Overtightened
« on: June 10, 2020, 11:04:52 AM »
So previously to my owning them the rim was over-tightened due to the left hand thread. The rim now has the nut opening larger than it should be. I thought at one time I found a page showing someones repair for this but can no longer find it. Does anyone know of a website showing how to repair this type of problem?

Thank you in advance.

I have seen these rim holes fixed by welding them to build the metal up then redrill  the hole most small machine shops could do this in one or all 5 of the holes

Have you considered oversized 1" wide lug nuts...  https://www.jegs.com/p/JEGS/JEGS-1-Hex-Lug-Nuts/1528580/10002/-1
