M606 Wiring harness clips

I have started to put a new wiring harness in my 1967 M606.
I have doubts about the clips I should get for the firewall and left fender harness.
Can help me? Pics?

Luis,
I only know what the civilian CJ-3B clips look like.  I took many pictures of Lawrence Wade's '55 and those clips were one reason.  I found what I needed from a salvage yard.

I don't know if the M606 used the same clips or not.  Have you seen any other M606's ?

Is hard find M606 with original harness, but is the same civilian late harness with adding some combination wires to conect the Blackout Light Switch.
The M606 have the same CJ3B Parts Manual with a litle Peculiar Parts Manual(Rear Light, BO drive Lamp, Left Fender, Hard Springs, etc etc)

This information is for the CJ-3B.  It may cross over to the M606.  I just haven't seen many detailed images.

I've read somewhere that some parts were manufactured for other vehicles and adapted for the jeep to save costs.  I've seen parts that our jeep vendors don't carry that are offered for other vehicles.  I was frustrated from not having the parts and not knowing what they looked like. So, I understand.

This is the main reason I reached out to Lawrence Wade and asked if I could take photos of his family jeep (plus I would have an excuse to eat Barbeque up in N. Alabama!) since his dad bought the jeep new and he's kept it unrestored.  Once I had pictures, I could begin looking for parts. 

This is where images of a product come in handy. 

Walck's has one clip that looks correct but is listed for a jeepster.

When you look at military vendors, some display only a list (no images) of available parts.  Some use images.  These are the vendors I like to visit often since I can compare.  And because I can see what they offer, I've made multiple purchases.  I scan both M38 (a close cousin to the 3B) and M38A1 (same engine as well as other parts) so there are areas of overlap.  Here's what Midwest Military offers:

Way back when I started researching, most of these parts I couldn't find.  So remember to check back often as parts are added all the time.


Way back, I was doing a lot of research on how to identify and then who to order from when things changed.  I visited a salvage yard - I found a list on Grover's website: http://www.public.asu.edu/~grover/willys/

I got real lucky one trip down to OK (still living in KS at the time) and noticed more parts than I'd originally planned on looking for.

What I pulled off a 3B body at a salvage yard were 4 different sizes plus one double clip that held the harness and vacuum wiper hose on the drivers fender.

As I mentioned at the start, I believe some parts are "borrowed" from other manufacturers and I also see these clips offered by others:

That one double clip is tough.  Both Chevy and Ford offer double clips.  Restoration Specialties offer a double clip too but all are for a 3/8" and a 1/4" size as their largest.  These clips are also asymmetrical (not the same on both sides).  One could probably be altered or fabricated.

Shop around for the best price/shipping.

I found NOS clips

Excellent!!

Notice the number stamped on the clips.  One says, "20".  When I cleaned all the clips off that salvage tub, I noted these sizes: 34, 28, 20 and C.  34 being that one big one on the firewall and C being the smallest one where there's only one wire to clip.  I didn't have a guide to tell me where to put which.  I just "eye balled" where to put them by test * the harness to see if the wire (including loom-if present) would fit inside first before pushing into the body hole.  What I did notice is there at the firewall the larger ones held the larger harness and the sizes went down as you fanned out away from that corner.  Here are some additional images of Wade's '55 that show the clips along the Driver's side:


 Note: The Firewall image may need to have a clip on the Toe Board Gusset where the red circle is also (I posted an example of a 3B I saw on my build thread on the old 3B Forum that had this - but it is down right now.  If it comes back, I will also add a link here.)


The flat clips you have at the bottom of your image are to hold the harness inside the "C" channel of the frame as it runs back to the rear.

I have no idea.  That's a picture of Wade's '55.  I went out to the garage and noticed mine has those holes too.  Look under the fender ( on the wheel side) you will notice those holes line up on an overlapped seam.  Follow that seam down to the bottom of the fender and you may find another hole.  Is it possible that these holes were used to help keep the fender together when assembling them? 

I tried to fill in holes that don' t look original but I still have a few that I have no idea what they're for.
