Distributor

I am fixing an old Willys - I'm sure most of you can understand that I'm not 100% sure of what parts should stay and which parts should go.

Is there are good way to identify my distributor - and whether or not it has been converted to 12V or not?

Welcome.
I can tell you that the distributor is original, but no way to tell what voltage you have based on these photos.  You may be able to find a part number or a voltage marking on your coil or condenser.   Pull the rotor and dust cap to locate the condenser.

You could look at a couple of bulbs to see what voltage the Jeep was set up for.

The distributor itself (including the points and condenser) is one of the things that stays the same for 6V or 12V. 


The exact model number of the distributor--so you can get points and condenser--I can't tell

The distributor is an "IAD 4008".
