Transfer case swap
« on: July 16, 2013, 08:29:31 AM »
I am about to rebuild a transmission/transfer case from a late Willys wagon having the 1.25" countershaft in the transfer case. I will install this in place of the original transmission/transfer case in my '51 CJ3A. This newer T-case has no emergency brake on the rear output shaft.
I will need to put the rear output-shaft+emergency brake from the old T-case onto the new one. Is this a direct, bolt-on?

I also need a short transmission input shaft to replace the longer one for the 6cyl. engine: anyone have one?

Many thanks for any advice......  Tom

The parking brake should bolt on. I have several input shafts if you need one.

Is the tcase from the wagon one with a 4" bore where it mates the tranny?
