Brake slack removal kit

Here is a link to a brake slack removal kit install.    The bolt tightening was a dealer installed fix to worn brake and clutch pedals.  The other method would be to remove the pivot which is welded to the frame and replace it with a new one.   On cj3a the pivot was welded to the frame.  On the M38 the pivot could be unbolted and replaced without welding.

My question for everyone is this:  what has different people done to resolve this wobble issue in their Jeeps?  Since I already have my frame completly finished, I really don't want to grind off the pivot and replace it.  
Has anyone put a bushing into the brake and clutch pedals?
Are these slack removal kits still available or does everyone piece a similar fix together on their own?

My brake pedal wobbled side to side so I cut a slot in a piece of 1/4" thick flat iron and screwed it to the floor to trap the pedal. So far it has worked just fine.

I just ordered all the needed parts to rebuild my brake/clutch setup, as my slop was really bad.  I even had to order the tie bar (a part you'd think would never wear out), as mine had a section missing  

I'll let you know if all the work actually gives me "normal" pedals.

I replaced both ball ends, the linkage arm tube, and all the seals, springs, etc.  I have no wobble.  I also drilled and threaded it for a zerk at both ends to lube it later, and packed it with grease before reassembling itl  Jim
