Yeah I was stationed at Ft Stewart for 5 years but 28 months of that was spent on a cultural exchange mission of planetary goodwill to the Middle East.

Here's the new resting spot for the Pumpkin.  Its nice to have a concrete floor and a roof, but these freakin side walls have got to go.  I need a cool breeze, its freakin hot in there.  Once I get all my junk situated in my new/old house, work will commence again.

I see some lonely looking fishing poles and a tackle bag sitting there, hopefully they become good friends with the pumpkin sometime soon!!!~

Haha, yeah, I found that tackle bag at a pawn shop for 60 bucks. �It was chock full of lures, extra reels, knives, everything you could need for fishing. �It was completely STUFFED with every freshwater lure you could imagine, hundreds of worms, at least 100 crankbaits and rattle traps, 100 spinners, I mean it was full, there were no open spaces. �It was at least 500-600 bucks worth. �I split it up into three different bags depending on what I'm after and still gave away a lot of the lures. �I'm thinking some pro-fisherman's ex-wife hocked it for 25 bucks,,,,best pawn shop score of mine to date! �I always check tackle bags in pawn shops now.

Yeah I know I'm outta the rain and small parts will no longer be washed 100 meters downstream. �So I guess I should be thankful...but the shade tree is part of my blood. �I'm kinda sad right now and missing my normally rudimentary means of vehicle repair. � I've got quite a case of George and Louise Jefferson syndrome going on here trying to get used to my newfangled fancy uptown surroundings.

Also, I never used a metal detector, I only had an old pair of old 6" speaker magnets and I'd crawl around on my hands and knees waving the speaker around trying to locate parts hidden in the dirt.

Oh yeh, the Red Sanford metal detector, I remeber hunting up nails in the frnt yard after the tornado with one of those.  Almost forgot, wish I had...LOL

But Red Sanford was rich compared to me. �I'm trying to find a decent job so I can finish the Pumpkin but I'm dead broke like a near death 37 year old donkey doing hard labor pulling barges on the Erie canal. �I'm also trying to find me one of those strange cryptoid creatures you see sometimes on that cable channel called "Animal Planet". �I've heard them referred to as "women". �Wish me luck.

That is sad, another of the greatest generation leaves us for better pastures....I never really got to know him, met him once and he impressed me as being a solid jeeper and a good man. Thanks for letting us know.
