I have not checked in for a few months,  but perfect timing  -> caught the maiden voyage of your wife's "smile generator"  :)  . . It looks amazing!

Wishing you a speedy recovery from your surgery :-)

Is this really February, and no snow in CO?

Looking good. You must have taken the shot before the crowd gathered around it. Summers coming! Oilly

So Tim, maybe I missed it but how is Rachel's jeep running?  Does it ride and run as strong as OD?  Are you having any issues or is it as solid as it looks?  You sure do beautiful work.
Tom

You guys are all awesome! Thanks for looking in.

Tom,
As of now, it's running nice, strong and tight. I have some minor projects to finish up. Battery hold down. Gas gauge still acts like an ampmeter. Maybe some other little things I can't recall right now.

Like all of them, I suspect other issues will flair up as we increase the shake down runs, but overall, I'm pretty happy with it. The transmission is tighter and quieter than mine. The brakes work better than mine. Kinda makes me want to tear into ODie and make some improvements. Hi all,
Nothing new to report.  Well, a couple things.  After a long trip and a heated up engine, I noticed I was showing no oil pressure at idle.  It would bounce back up to 12psi while cruising.  Still a bit scary, so I removed the brand new gauge and installed an old original gauge.  It shows a minimum oil pressure of 7psi at idle and 24 psi while cruising.  I feel better about these readings, but have still decided to replace the old oil pump.  I'll do this fairly soon and report my findings.

The main reason I chimed in was to move this build thread back to the top.  I am slowly replacing the Photobucket links and it's a pain in the *rear end to go back and find this thread.  Bringing it back to the top will make the transition a bit less annoying for me. >:(

I hope everyone is having a great summer! :)

Works for me, Hawky!  What are your compression readings?

Tom,
It's been a while since I did the minor rebuild on this.  They were high 90s across the board at that time.  I haven't checked it recently, but the engine runs strong...and doesn't smoke. ;)

Rick,
Thanks!  Already got the Melling (USA) on the way.

Tim,
It's awesome you're replacing the image links. Lots of work, and you're doing it the nice way so that it flows with the text.
Thanks for that!

Thanks Dave.
I too prefer the photo following some verbiage.  As you say, it seems to flow a little nicer.

GEORGE!
Didn't even realize you butt dialed until I looked at my missed calls.  How about you call sometime...on purpose! :)
