I am planning to attend the Willys Picnic and Rausch Creek ride in a couple weeks. Bob W has insisted I have a roll bar and seat belts for the event (apparently he took notice of my driving style in NH a couple years ago ;D ).

Today, I snagged both in one stop. It's nice to be able to sell off old Jeep carcasses but retain the ability to scavenge parts from them years later.

Now, time to devise the most temporary way possible to install a functional roll bar....

Well, I know there are seat belt and roll bar rules for some of those 4-Wheeler parks, but Bob W is probably anticipating your uncanny ability to pick a parking spot that attracts large falling trees. [smiley=happy.gif]

I would add:  In some ways you seem so lucky.  In other ways...not so much. :o

The seat belt and roll bar rules are indeed the park rules. From what I have seen Ryan does need an armor plated roof!  ;D

In preparation for Rausch Creek on Saturday I installed the roll bar and seatbelts today (Hell apparently has frozen over....) along with tall enough hood blocks to lay the windshield down when the mood strikes me.  I also modified the jerry can bracket so the top bows can lay flat. Lots of other general tuning and tinkering that a neurotic person like me does prior to any trip. I'm sure I've addressed everything except for the thing that will break.
