Whether it's Normandy blue or purple with line green flames, I'm not going to be painting it myself. That's one of the few parts of this project that I'm going to farm out to a professional.

When I learned to drive, both my parents' cars were stick shift, so that's what I learned on.  I hated it at the time, but I'm so glad I had to go through that.  Especially my Dad's habit of making me drive to a steep hill with a stop sign at the top.  Learned real well how to use a clutch doing that!

Right now, it's harder and harder to get stick shifts.  My truck is an automatic.  My wife's car has a stick, but it's going to be replaced very soon, and I don't know if a stick shift will be available on its replacement.  If it's an auto, my daughter will have to learn to drive on the Willys.  And she will not be given a choice in the matter.  Wink

So here is a thought:  You are the Jeep paint guy and you have a few hundred gallons of Picket Gray left over from the last run of 2As, what do you do with it?  Why you squirt it on the first run of 3As.  Same with Luzon Red or any of the colors.  I may be wrong but according to the charts that I have seen there are not supposed to be any Picket Gray CJ3As, but mine is, and so are a couple early 3As on the serial database page.  So I am thinking there will be a significant overlap in year to year colors.  Does that make sense, or am I all wet here?

I think you are right...they continued the bottom mount radiators for a while...probably because they had some left over.

I doubt they threw anything out that could still be bolted to or sprayed on a jeep....

Picket Gray was one of my possible choices..I still like it...
