Here is a little rundown on what i chose to use. The panels are 1/4" MDF and all the interior wood is 1x1 that I cut. I didn't worry about full pieces in some places as other supports did the job. I also just used scrap lumber to help with costs and everything was assembled using gorilla glue and brads. One thing not to do and I even made notes to myself and still did is have the top be over the sides so you don't have exposed seams. I messed up and have to be careful about water getting on it. If you look at the pics you will see that and it is a little deeper than needed. The correct dimensions that for me it should is 10 1/4" deep, 23 1/2" long and 22 1/4 high

Here is paint job, original plans were to paint my jeep Pickett Gray so this is what I did for box. I painted the doors white inside for some visibility and keep moisture away MDF is fine but water can cause trouble eventually



Red wheels so you need red knobs right? Notice the flat wood along upper doors this seals the gaps when it's closed and it is the pine trim used to put around screening on windows



Here it is loaded and pretty much have not changed anything. I have a little cookset from Bass Pro that works well with copper bottoms on the pots and pans and the white objects are Swedish with bowl, plate and cups along with the plastic shoebox for utensils and a couple more Swedish cups



It's deceptive how much room it has and you could have anything up to 9 1/4" width inside



I decided to just use rope handles as any type of permanent wood will just add to width and I didn't want that. I can be handled by 1 person and 2 people are a snap.

Pantry later.

The pantry has other stuff. I wanted something to have a period look and plastic tubs didn't make the grade. 1 thing this does is increase the floor space inside jeep and allow for items to be stacked up. I believe it makes about 18 cu ft for gear inside back of jeep. Florida has a lot of nice little parks and we have quite a few 75-100 miles from me. The goal is to load up and camp nicely on a weekend but not bring the whole house. The more room you have the more you bring I have found out so carefully limiting space can make you a smart picker/packer.

No I understood what you were saying. I do dutch oven cooking and sometimes travel with my stuff to cook. A customer gave me a bottom of a rubber storage box he fished out of a canal and was going to pitch it. I took it and made a table that fits in it and is also a top for the box. I have all my gear in it so I can grab it my ovens and food and hit the road without forgetting anything. I like to tinker and I live where Thomas Edison had his winter home and laboratory so it must be in the water or something.

They are all neat stoves. I got it because it could burn alcohol and meant only 1 fuel needed for both cookers. You have to buy a separate nipple to make it work. I have tried it with kerosene, alcohol and coleman fuel and it works best with colemans. 3 dogs would cause storage problems for sure in a jeep.

Holey Moley. I am a flatlander here in Florida, we only have overpasses and golf course bunkers for anything high. I am about 24' above seal level

It is made to be on the fender so the bed area is available for more gear. It goes on a table at the camp.
