I was headed out of town today to an appointment. Along the way I came around a corner right before a long steep grade and jammed on the brakes when I found a line of cars crawling along at about 25mph....wtf...I briefly pulled out around the traffic to see what was up ahead and what do you know, we were all stuck behind a flatfender chugging slowly but steadily up the hill.

Of course, I had to follow him until I was able to find out what the story was. 82 year old guy who bought the Jeep about a year ago and was on his way to talk to someone about getting it painted. He didn't really seem to know much about the Jeep aside from it was "similar to one I drove in the Army". I'm pretty sure it was a 2A equipped with a 3A windshield (or a 3A with a 2A grille??) and a few other random Bubba mods.

The old guy was certainly having a blast driving it, traffic hazard or not. I hope I'm still driving mine when I'm 82.

Speaking of well preserved old men, I think I've posted this before but thought it appropriate here as well.
My Dad is now 92 years old (yes that's 92) and doing well.
