gas line & vacuum/gas pump

I haven't been here for a long time.  I started my CJ3A (early '49 with a body tag) rebuild over 2.5 years ago and am 99% complete after a nuts and bolt total disassembly and re-build.  But I'm stumped.  I bought a new fuel line package from Walcks and I just can't figure it out.  It's as if I'm forcing the bends where it comes through the underneath of the body by your feet on the fire wall side.  Then to add to my issues I didn't take enough pictures during disassembly to help me out so I can't figure out the line run and where and how it connects to the fuel pump.  Any direction, diagrams or photos would be a great help.  I'll try to launch some before and after photos of my project.  I remember a couple years ago I couldn't figure that out either!  Thanks for any help.

I had the same problem with the Walck's fuel line kit. It's sold as a 2A kit so a little adjustment was needed. Not sure what the exact differences are but I made it work without too much effort once I figured out where everything went. The pics Bob W provided should be enough but if you want any specific close-ups of mine let me know.

Bob, thanks, I've not got as far as your pictures depict but again I'm stumped from the fuel pump to the carb. Walcks sells a 1 piece pre-bent tube that supposedly runs from the pump to the carb but I can't even begin to see how fits.
Would you happen to have a photos that follow the last photo in your thread that will take me to the carb connection?  Thanks.

Paddy,
if the kit is for a 2A, that pump was normally a single action pump.  If you have a true 3A pump (double action... with vacuum for the wipers) then the line from the fuel pump to the carb will be different.

You can bend one yourself.  It's actually pretty easy...and fun.

For the fuel pump you can make your own lines or do what I did, go to NAPA and buy the pre-flared ones with all the fittings and everything ready to go for $4 or $5ea. Just figure out what length you need and bend accordingly.

I think I destroyed the first one but got the hang of it after that. If you find pics of athawk's you'll see how you can turn it into a work of art. Mine didn't turn out nearly that neat, but certainly good enough.
