Guys - I've got to replace the front shackle brackets and got to thinking about alignment. I'm going to remove the old brackets - they're rusted out - weld in new ones. Any tips on ensuring that I get the new brackets in the correct location? I've thought about marking the frame where the current ones are,  but not sure that the marks will survive as I cut/grind off the old brackets.

Is that sufficient?

My concern is introducing any kind of alignment related shimmy/shake/death wobble due to the shackles being misaligned.
