It would look great with pale yellow, but she is growing tired of green. OD green Willys. Her husband's clothing is heavy on the OD green. A dark green brick house. Pale green walls inside. A Willys 2A that will go back to its original Pasture Green. I'm still hopeful she will see the light. Pascal, I don't know if they have that mark. I will look at them tonight. I'm curious, what do they do to you if you don't have the right snow tires on your vehicles? Tim

	Thanks George. I enjoy this part of the process. Bolting stuff back on really gives me a sense of accomplishment. Pascal, I’m sorry to say there is no snow insignia on these tires. They do have stud holes, so I’m guessing they are designed for snow and ice. This project is moving along pretty well. I’ve installed the rear bumper/cross member and the front bumper. Walcks supplies the rivets, but I don’t have a tool to use them as rivets. I threaded them, and then bolted them on. (I stole this idea from someone else.) I ran the fuel and vacuum lines for the carburetor and pump. The fuel delivery line is currently set up to use a gas can for my running chassis drives... I received the correct radiator from my Minnesota friend, Lee. Thanks Lee!! The radiator was dropped at a shop to clean and check for leaks. The guy was a hack. He didn’t even comb the fins, then he sprayed on a marginal paint finish. I straightened the fins. Almost looks new. Before… After… Got my wheels back from the sandblaster. Turn around time…three days. Love that guy… We still don’t know what color to paint them. I might prime and paint the insides of the wheels so I can go ahead and mount the rubber, then paint the wheels their final color later. This is much harder this way, but my wife is having trouble picking a color, and I want to get this thing back on the road. Other minor projects completed include the clutch tube assembly, differentials, tranny, and TC filled with appropriate gear oils. Brake system adjusted and bled. I’ll hook up the radiator and fill it this weekend, along with the exhaust system, and the basic wiring needed to start the engine for the first time since the thing was torn down. I can almost smell the burning oil. It’s spring time in the Rockies! Tim

	Wow you are getting close! Is there a name for those flat-headed bolts, or are they also modified rivets? Good idea on threading the rivets...I've read about trying to set the rivets as they did in the factory.....I think it's another of those "don't try this at home" projects....

	Thanks. I really like the threaded rivet idea! I got my front bumper from Walck's also and did'nt know what to do with the rivets!

Some of those fake rivets are the correct size for a CJ-3A bumper, but not all of them. Keep in mind that the fake rivets are no where near as strong as a real rivet or a 3/8" bolt.

	Thanks for looking in fellas. I showed the video to my wife too. She said it was too long and too boring. (She just doesn't understand that Willys guys like seeing engines running.) 	Thanks Brett. Funny you should mention comparisons. On the OD Willys, I had no benchmarks. I had no idea what to expect with regard to power, speed, leaks, etc… I went to the Fall Colors Tour in 2012. This was my first chance to see and compare my performance to other 2As and 3As. I discovered I had a problem. My Willys was under-powered when comparing it to many others there. That winter, I dug in. I replaced my Solex Carb with a freshly rebuilt Carter. I replaced my old rattling timing chain with a modern version. I pulled my oil pump and re-indexed it. This was most likely my biggest problem. I had run out of adjusting space while turning the distributor. The engine ran and sounded fine, but close timing is not good timing. Once the above items were addressed, I took my Willys for a spin. It was night and day. I had far more power than before. I couldn’t wait to get back to the 2013 Fall Colors Tour. This would be my first chance to see how my improvements compared. Success. I was able to stay with, and or, overtake some of the Willys that pulled away from me during the previous event. Having two or three Willys at home will give me some immediate feed back. How they pull up the same hill, how the transmission feels and shifts. Steering and brake performance, etc… I just hope my OD Willys performs a little better than this one. Tim
