Well, then I committed bubbafication too... My stock 2A frame was crap, so I built a new one and did coil springs and kept the stock axles. It had a 70's repro body too. I'm running a 225 v6, T18 and D18, so is that a cliche too? Funny you called that a jalopy because I named mine The Jalopy. I guess the difference is, mine isn't 4 feet in the air and isn't put to a bad country song.  

To each his own.  It would appear that tub was a LONG way from pristine with gobs of bondo/rust.  

I am not sure what he is actually using for axles-look stock-but at least some of that appears nicely done.  Exceptions are the D25, which trussed or not,  probably will not have a long life with a 5.3 and the front spring axle mounts look just scarry.  If the D44 still has 2 piece axles, those will also have a short life and the driveshaft angles are not something I would be running.

Curious how much length was added to the wheelbase as you wouldn't have any rear driveshaft with 80".  And I even think the 3A windshield is an improvement since the rest of it is making absolutely no pretense of even looking stock.

That was a pretty well trashed GPW to begin with but those driveshaft angles do look scary.

Nate... would yours work on road or would you need to make it handle better on smooth pavement at speed to be road drivable?

I had my sound turned off so the music was just fine. 

Since you can buy almost anything for the CJ2 and 3 I don't see what it hurts to make one the way you want it. If building that Jeep blows his dress up then good for him.

I too have a bad feeling about the angle of the drive shaft.

ROFLMAO,  He should have put the engine on the top level with chain drive to the bottom. He could drive through much deeper water that way.
