Chrome or stainless dust caps?

I got some dust caps from Kaiser Willys years ago for my '53. They looked like the were stainless or something. So I put them on as they were. After a while, they started rusting up. After cleaning them, I clear coated them. They lasted a bit longer, but I don't like them. Has anyone found a source for real chrome or stainless ones? As you can see, I like my bling on my wheels.  Cool

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, except to say that in my 18wheeler bling days, I found that chrome looked better but didn't hold up as well as stainless.

What I really want to say is (1) that is one sharp looking Jeep, and (2) don't let Ryan M near it.  He may very well steal the top.  Smiley

That was part of my master plan but I'll have to change things up a bit now that you have destroyed any chance of my surprise attack.

Good thing it is kept in a locked garage that has a guard dog and security system.  Grin

I've had decent luck polishing stainless stuff, buy a couple and try it out perhaps.

I tried nickel plating them and that didn't work out. So... On to plane B. Some nice chrome center caps. Solved that problem real quick. Wink
