Wow! The power of the web.  (Serial Number)

I posted recently pictures of my last find on www.ewillys.com web site.

http://www.ewillys.com/2012/11/01/pascals-newest-jeep-a-rare-dj-6/#comments

I was looking for someone who know something about it.

I was surprised yesterday! I find (or he find me...) someone with the jeep built on the line right after mine.

Hey! They made only 168 DJ-6 in 1965.
Based on this, http://www.film.queensu.ca/CJ3B/Photos/SerialNumbers/SerialNosMonthly6567.gif
Mine was the first made in september 1965.

How many people here can say the same thing about their CJ-3A?
What is a chance to find the jeeps built before or after yours?
Even on the CJ3B serial number database, (http://www.film.queensu.ca/CJ3B/SerialNos/SerialNosEngine.html), I did look rapidly but I can't find subsequent number.

I keep the serial database up to date here so I know that it's rare with our jeep beeing build on about 25000 unit/year.

So, I know Bob W is a master for the 3A but I have a question for you.
For a short production like this (168), can I assume that my paint color code trim will be the same as the one right after mine?

I am... Shocked Roll Eyes Smiley Smiley Smiley Roll Eyes.... Tongue

Anyone has ever saw this kind of plate before?

What kind of "special" should we expect?

I have heard about those plates but never saw one. The DJ3A used a sticker, again, I have only seen pictures. You might want to see if Joe Friday on the 2A page knows anything about it, he's pretty knowledgeable about that stuff.

As far as the chances of you jeep being the same trim and paint as the next....Its a crap shoot. i wouldn't bet anything of value on it.

I haven't looked in our database for it yet, do we have ANY consecutive numbers listed?

This plate is on your Dj6 ?

You should post that picture in the DJ forum of the CJ-3B page.
See if those DJ guys have any more info.
