FYI,
Mr Rommel Juan himself has just started a thread over on the CJ2A page advertising his products.  Should be interesting.  Maybe something good could come out of it.

I have invited Rommel here as well, so he can look at all the older threads with comments on his products. He is a member now, with all that comes with that.

This is a tremendous opportunity to start a dialogue that can and will have positive results in their tubs and other products... One only has to look at all the improvements made to the MB and GPW tubs over the last 5 or so years to see the possibilities that are there for improvement on the one replacement tub that is currently available. Several of the big players in the WWII jeep world have helped Rommel out on design issues, with the result that teh tubs are light years ahead of what was available ten years ago. They still are not perfect, admittedly.

So, as was said above... Be gentle. Rants need to be controlled, calm, cool and collected. Please don't make this a place to attack , rather one to offer constructive and clear criticism. Thanks! If you have a severe issue with Rommel or his product please take it to the Email or PM avenue, instead of airing dirty laundry here.

Hey guys. I'm here I plan to post the improvement we've done for the 2a's here as well, since we use common parts for both models.

It's just the length of the front legroom that varies.

I'm ready to hear the lowdown on our tubs. And promise to try my best to address all issues.

Thank you for joining our forum and for your concern regarding your product.  I respect that you wish to address the reoccuring issues with the 3a tubs and am eager to see the results.  Many of the issues appear to be small changes that could be easily resolved.  Here is a brief summary of the issues I had:

1.  The transmission and transfer case holes were too far forward and had to be moved back about 1 1/2 inches
2.  The angle of the front floor board was incorrect.  This resulted in my fenders not lining up properly.
3.  There is a hole in the transmission tunnel that I cannot figure out why its there.  If it is for the foot mounted starter rod to pass through it is in the incorrect spot.
4.  The gauge holes were all slightly too small
5.  There was no cutout for the PTO lever
6.  The emergency brake mounting bracket was misaligned behind the dash
7.  The tool box does not have a drain channel in the lid
8.  The tailgate is made from a lighter gauge steel
9.  It appears the metal was not cleaned very well prior to the black primer being applied.  The primer flakes off very easily and I had to strip several parts down to bare metal prior to bodywork.
10.  The body was very rough and needed a LOT of body work to smooth things out.

EDIT:  My body kit was purchased from Willys Overland in November of 2010.  Due to manufacture delays, it was not delivered until January 2011.

When you list issues with tubs from Juan, be sure to include what year you bought it. It'll help Rommel determine where in his manufacturing history those problems were present.

This is great that we can give feedback directly to a manufacturer. Wish we could do the same with Omix-Ada.
