I have been using PB for several years and up until the new format, never had any problems.  Not only is there no longer an opt out, I find it almost unuseable.  If you have albums with a couple hundred photos, it is almost impossible to find the one you are looking for as there is apparently no "view all" option anymore and it is slower than hell paging down through the photos.  Time to get re-acquanted with Flikr or some other options.

I have been getting by with the new Bucket But sure don't know enough to explain it to someone else. I'm just feeling my way each time. I thought the old one was more Geezer friendly than the new one. Good luck all.

For me paging thru photos by using the next and back arrows is a guaranteed way to lock up my computer. I go to task manager, shut down one explorer process that is obviously using all the resources, then go back to the last window I was trying to access... It is far better to just go back to the album to choose a picture I want to look at  than to leaf thru the pics.. Pretty bad. I guess it is a pretty common complaint as youtube actually has a video on how to complain to PB.
