This Coke machine is a project in waiting.  This was a gift from my wife last year.  It is a 'Mills' 120-B2 bottle dispenser, first manufactured in 1951.  I have read that it was the first Coke machine to give change back.  

This particular machine sat out in front of 'All City Taxi', in Denver, for years. The lower panel looks like it took a few blows from those taxis.

I have gotten as far as getting the change return mechanism to function again.  And the bottle drop now works.  All mechanical.  Very cool.  It will need a freon charge, a lot of cleaning, hammer dolly work, and paint.

Very cool project! I know they are worth more restored but I'm digging the patina, lots of character!

Very unusual coke machine. Rick's restoration would have a fun time with that one, and probably tell the owner it will cost the owner $4500 to restore but it will be worth half a million when done.

I am digging the patina too.. I'd have to really be convinced to repaint that one. I'd be preserving it and maybe hammering out any really obnoxious dents without repainting.

Drool drool.......thanks for sharing. I was gonna show everyone my 78 Schwinn I just picked up but I think your machine topped it by a BUNCH.

Now you guys have me rethinking this thing.  The worst area is the lower panel.  The rest of the paint is actually in fairly decent condition.  Just your typical dings and scratches that 60 years will give you.  Maybe I'll just polish it up a little.

I love the little 8 oz bottles.  Really brings back some childhood memories.
