 :D Hello everyone, Mya name is Lawrence from northern New York. I'm working on a 52 3a, have a 71 jeepster commando and a 70 j10. all in various states of help. Look forward to reading and writing for more info.

Welcome aboard, Lawrence.  Just curious...was it the '52 that had a black windshield frame?  Was yours ever black by chance?

black windshield frame

Aboyandhisdog, I like that name. research shows a black windshield is on the jeep. I'm finding out that i have a cj3a frame, motor and t-90 transmission. Not sure what the transfer case is yet. However it has a cj2a tub attached to it. :'( I still love it though.

I just joined the forum and was reading through posts. Saw this one about a 52. What do you mean by black windshield frame? Does that make it different than the others?

During late 3A production, the windshields were no longer painted the body color.  They were painted black.

Interesting. I didn't know that. I think someone may have done a custom paint job on mine...so it is in between. That is why I was so curious. Thanks for the info.
