The jeep spent 30+ years on a Georgia farm, where it was eventually stuck in a barn for God knows how long. Someone in our neighborhood bought it and got it running(barely)- they then sold it to my next door neighbor, who knows nothing about cars, let alone old jeeps that need tons of work. She poured too much money into it, and the thing still isn't in great shape (over 10k in the hole..).
So that leaves it sitting rain and shine in her driveway for 2 years in a non-running condition.. meanwhile I'm a 17 year old dying for a project jeep that I can spend a year on before heading to college.
She won't sell it to me (unless I pay a ludicrous amount) but has given it to me... just on the condition I can't sell it. So it's now in my garage, finally getting some love after a lot of neglect. I plan on bringing it back to a reliable state in order to once again be a fun little car for our side of river where all the roads max out at 35mph. I've got it driveable now, but plan on doing much more-
Then, before going to college, I'll help her sell it, hopefully for not as much of a loss as if she were to sell it now. Maybe a target 7k in the end?
I've been taking pictures and video tidbits through the whole process, so one day soon when I've got the time I'll make a thread and post everything I've done to it.
Thus far it's mostly been lots of cleaning.. lots and lots of cleaning..
