Just joined the forum and have already received lots of valuable information. My jeep was purchased prior to 1960 by my grandfather as a jeep for our cabin in Colorado. It was bought in Texas and used to haul about 2k pounds of water pipe to run water from the holding tanks to the house. It has been garaged in Colorado ever since. My father is now too old to drive the jeep and has passed it on to me. My intent is to bring it home to Texas after more than 50 years in Colorado and do a full restoration. See photos attached!

Wow.
Awesome.
Looks like there's not much restoration needed.
Drive it and have tons of fun.

Welcome M, nice looking jeep and a rich history. From what we read back east your jeep may need to haul water pipe again.
A full restoration will be long and expensive, I would enjoy your jeep for a while and learn what does not need to be fixed first.

Wow.  A Colorado Willys with a hard top.  I'll bet your floors are in great condition.

If you decide it needs to stay in Colorado, I'd be happy to find a spot in my garage. ;)

That old photo is great.  Is this in Colorado?  The photo is dated "Dec 63".  But...there isn't any snow.

Hi Tim -

My Grandfather started building our summer house in 1962. This picture was taken the summer of 62 or 63 but my grandmother apparently did not get the film developed until Dec 63. Definitely Colorado. The jeep has been in the same location ever since. Probably less than 100 miles per year put on the jeep.

Can't wait to get i back to Texas. First time I drove the jeep was 1977 and age 15. Have been enamored with it ever since.

Thanks for the comments!
