O.k. cool, the steering stuff will be off the shelf,

Some things to consider...

The front axle is not correct, and it is wider than the original, so original tie rods won't fit.

Take a good look at the dual master cylinder conversion to be sure it won't interfere with an original steering box.

You will need to find an original bellcrank bracket and weld it to the front crossmember.

Ok, cool, if it isn't too much trouble, would you mind sending me a pm about various literary publications that may pertain to this?

Thank you again!

Ok, that is nice to know, about the axle, the brakes are all coming off anyways so I can re-do them and clean up the routing. Most likely will go back to dual when it is all said and done.

As far as it goes where would I post things for barter, as ito have much to barter for and seemingly less to barter with haha.

Portrayal Press did have reprinted CJV35/U Parts, Operators, and Service Manuals. Haven't checked since the new owners purchased the company.

CJ-3A literature would get you through most anything except the electrical and underwater stuff.

I briefly looked over their site, :(... Is that your book that Walck's has for sale?

The front axle should be a Dana 27 with a modified "pumpkin" cover, correct?

As for the steering, Would it perhaps be a Ross?

Walcks does have my book for sale. The front axle should be a Dana 25 with Ross steering.

Ok thank you for clarifying that. Means my reprint service manual is not 100% right. Bummer.

I just found this Thread, i have a partially restored V35. Most of my knowledge came from Bob W. I doubt i can add much, but as you get farther along, i would be glad to try. There are some of the more rare parts that are being planned to be duplicated. But these are more related to the radio gear that is almost always missing. If there is anything you need don't hesitate to ask. h8pvmnt@hotmail.com

Thanks much, I've been away for a while, with my head and my fourth point of contact in unison. needless to say, the jeep is sort of back on track. I will be posting some for trade stuff here soon, as I am trying to get rid of "wrong" and replace with "right" with minimum cost. the body work is what is going to kill me though, so mostly I am looking for a lot of detail photos of all of the panels and all the angles. that and a lack of good publications directly relating to this project. still need to get his book... hmm...
