[size=11][size=12]So here is the story,
                             I once was stationed in Hawaii, owned a wrangler (99 TJ Sahara etc), worked on military vehicles (anything and everything with wheels) got out, and got the 'jeep' bug some crazy how. Did some research (quite apparent that it was not sufficient in the least bit) from various jeep forums around the web. Went and purchased a "1950 Willy's CJ-3a" with a 2a windshield on it. drove it for a while, it broke, got it fixed, broke again. Now I have to fix it, and am at the point where I would like to identify what is what to fix the things that are not correct and make it what it should be. I will post as many pictures as I can, but I would like to know where and what to photo aside from what I have already.

I second Scout's post.. Pictures. Especially of where the front bumper mounts, the wheel house tops with a tape measure to see how long they are (3A ones are shorter, giving more room behind the wheel) and the front motor mounts on each side. (Drivers side by fuel pump points forward on a 3A)

I don't see the classic keyed coil mounting holes indicating a 2A dash in your one pic so you might really have a 3A....or that part of the dash has been cut away already.

Looks like you have a pile of fun ahead getting it back to stock.

welcome to the page. they should have taken the drill away from the person that drill them holes in the dash . :( :( if interest I have a cj2a dash to sale.

Welcome!� Looks like someone stole your clutch and bell housing. ;)� I'm guessing this is really just one of your repairs.

Lots of photos.� Using a free host site like Photobucket, or the like, is a good way to post a ton of photos.

I think I speak for this entire group when I say, "We all get excited to see old Willys Jeeps come back from the edge!"�

Very interesting. You have a 1950 CJ-V35/U USMC waterproof radio Jeep. There have been a few modifications made to it over the years.

Wow Bob! You always surprise me!

Your jeep has a lot of mod but I really like those red engine, I'm sure they got more power just because they are red. If I repaint one, I will paint it red for sure. Tim did convince me with his one.

That certainly is some exciting news to you me, I have mo issues what so ever about pictures being utilized elsewhere, so long as it is correct. By the great divine, that is incredible, what was the deciding factor may I ask that led to that inferrance? Very very curious as to that, and to which way I proceed now.

Thank you guys again. So I guess I need to travel to the cj-v35u forums and pages. :)

that is brilliant, I just arrived at a similar conclusion after looking at the v-35 page you have sir, quite pleased to say I am glad I asked before I welded.

So now I must inquire, where do I go to get proper parts for the restoration, and who has anything to trade? :P

Many of the parts that are unique to a CJV35 are very difficult to find. How accurate do you want it to be?
