Howdy!
« on: May 21, 2013, 04:01:58 PM »
Hey CJ-3A,

Looking forward to learning about CJ-3A Jeeps.  I owned 2 TJs in the past, had to sell the last one(along with other toys) when my wife and I found out we had twins.  Well, fast forward, itching to get back into Jeeps and my father has his old CJ-3A sitting in various stages of restoration.  He's never going to finish it and said I could have her  :)

It's a '49 that my grandfather bought in '51.  My father drove it to school as a teenager.  It then sat, rusting away until about 10 years ago.  Frame and axles are restored, new tub (not a "CJ-3A" tub, but oh well), the engine/drivetrain is currently in pieces along with missing a lot of misc parts.  Has a long way to go, but will be a nice Jeep when done.

I'll take a few pics this weekend and post.

Thanks,
Keith Stephens

Welcome aboard.  I always like the stories when the Willys has been a member of the family for the majority of its existence.  Get some photos posted.  Show us what you got! 8-)
