new old guy
« on: August 27, 2012, 04:05:45 PM »
My name is Ron and I live near Flat Rock, Illinois, in Crawford County. I'm officially retired and wanted something to do my close running and squirrel hunting in. When I was 17 or18 years old I had a 48 cj3a and got along well with it. Had a couple cj7's since then but they weren't the same. I found a 1950 cj3a and it followed me home so I decided to feed it and keep it.

Hi Ron - Any pics of your new friend? We tend to be a little picture-crazy here on the forum. The more the merrier. Let's have a look!

Welcome Ron,
This is a great site for help with the "Care and Feeding of old Jeeps".  Glad to have you join us.  About the photos Ryan_M requests: for us old retired guys computer technology such as posting pics is sometimes a bit of a challenge, but after a few tries even I was able to get the hang of it.  There's help here for that too.
Lots of info of interest here.  Be glad to have you share yours, too.

Glad to see you with a real Jeep again. Unfortunately our Jeeps are high maintenance ladies.

We have cooresponded on another post, but I wanted to offer a sincere welcome.  I get excited when new folks join in on the fun of saving these beautiful little trucks.
