Post Count Not Working

Not that it matters much but we've noticed that our post count is not accumulating after making a post.

I believe you're right. The forum currently shows 40,016 posts, 5,109 topics, and 1,299 members, so it does look like the post count may not be updating correctly.

I'll add this to my to-do list and investigate what's causing it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I just did a quick test by posting a new message, and the total post count increased from 40,016 to 40,017, so it appears the counter is working correctly now. It may have been an issue at the time this was originally reported, but it doesn't seem to be occurring anymore. Thanks for bringing it up!

it shows my post count at 15. i'm way above that. i just looked. any thoughts ?

Did you try the same test above?  Pascal noted his count, then posted to see the increase.  Perhaps your total is low based on the glitch that was reported by Stingray 2 yrs ago.  Pascal must've made an adjustment back in June.  I'm posting to check my own to see if they increased.

Mine did not.  Stuck at 339.

For what it's worth, my counter is working.  The total does seem low -- I assume it must have gotten reset at some point.

I just did a completely un-scientific observation.  Since the counter is stuck, I went to my profile and clicked on that little link for "Show Posts" to show all the posts I've made since being here.  Of course it numbers everything backwards, i.e. the last post is #1, but clicking on the last page, the display says I've made 1,369 posts. 

I guess after this post, I'll have 1,370...

OK so the total forum post is incrementing but not the individual post count itself. I will look at it.
