I wish I had more history on the top, I am sure now that it's newer than the jeep. I notice that the new Bestop Tiger top and Supertop for the CJ3B does not have the wrap around side windows. I've been looking for photos of mid-60's Bestops with no luck. BTW, the side curtains don't roll up, they roll to the rear and are secured to the top bow with a strap, the wrap around windows stay in position!
On the subject of tops, here's what it looked like the day I bought it. I figured the top was trash and would need to be replaced.

It was extremely dirty and the isinglass appeared to be very yellowed, but the vinyl was still soft, all the stitching looked good and there were no tears or rips.
Following suggestions of people on the internet, especially boat top people, I carefully cleaned it with warm soapy water and a microfiber cloth and rubbed the vinyl with a heavy coat of Armorall. Then I used Pledge furniture polish to clean and polish the isinglass. I was told that the Pledge would add the needed oil back into the glass, and it seems to have worked! Not perfect, but much better than before.

I routinely give the vinyl a coat of Armorall and the isinglass a cleaning with Pledge. I think more of the yellowing has cleared up every time I use the Pledge.
