Quality Brake Switch?

Pretty sure my Brake Switch is roasted.Looks to be the solid pin style that the GPW/MB uses?

Can anyone recommend a quality replacement? I've read some ...horror stories...in the searches I've done here. A couple of guys suggest that NAPA has a 'close enough' replacement but didn't provide much detail beyond that.

I have to replace the long line to the rear axle anyway, so might as well do this at the same time.

Do yourself a favor.
Go to eBay and buy new NOS parts whenever you can find them.
Note that terminal styles can vary if the wiring was changed.
Jeep part numbers are valid for a specific model and vintage if not modified.
If you can’t find NOS then look for NORS.
If you must buy NRS I will only ever suggest Standard Motor Products (SMP).for electrical parts.

Here are the two I've found (I'm in a bit of a rush) I'm thinking of grabbing both. I see this one says "for MB/GPW" but it looks like they're interchangeable? Mine already has the male/solid pin style. So will these work?

I got mine at auto zone, it’s identical to my org.  But my org switch may not be org.? After all it’s 60 years old.  If you got both switches it wouldn’t hurt.

Probably a long shot, but, do you have a part number?

M1 and very early 2A used Jeep part A-1271
Then they switched to the switches with double female bullet connectors #647801.

Mine appears to be male (though its a 1950 model). Are they interchangeable?

Switch itself is no different excepting the terminal ends.
I have Delco and Borg Warner numbers to match the female switches which accept male bullet terminals.
I will suppose that you must have incorrect terminals on your harness.
The harness should have male “bullet” terminals.

The harness indeed has female connectors.  I see DeBella has NOS switches with female connectors. How hard to find are the male bullet connectors for the wires to the lights (to splice into the harness)?

Both male and female bullet terminals are very common to locate on eBay, auto parts or any electric supply.
