Pinion seal gasket location?
« on: September 20, 2020, 12:18:45 AM »
I am replacing the pinion seal on my front differential as it’s leaking. The pinion seal I ordered also came with a gasket as well. I understand how to replace the pinion seal but where does the gasket go? Thank you in advance for your help! Taylor

The paper gasket goes in first, then the seal.  I add a bit off Permatex 2 to both sides of the gasket.

Thank you sir! Does the gasket slip over the pinion seal before you install it?
