The grill looks brown but the tailgate looks like maybe a deep maroon.  Is my computer fooling me?  What color do you have going on there?

Good eye! I have two variations of Pantone paint from their paint sample sheet of University of Wyoming brown.The interior/underside of the pieces are all the color of the grill. The exterior/topside is the deeper color, which my wife has stated she likes better. I'll be having the grill re-sprayed with the tub after I get the holes drilled in for everything I'm mounting on it. The color scheme came from the book "The Thrill of the Chase" by Forrest Fenn, 2010.

I think those are both great colors!  I wonder though if you might prefer a bit less gloss?  Like maybe a satin or eggshell.  I only mention it because in a 70 year old jeep, well, they didn't have much sheen to them even new.  Either way, those are some great colors.  Good call!

I appreciate and agree with the input, but I ‘m staying true to the glossy dust jacket. I’ll be applying pictures from the jacket on the hood, tailgate and other body parts, and I’m looking to get the -still living author Forrest Fenn to autograph the air vent.
