Top Bows

I have a mostly original set of top bows that I am putting on my 3b for the new top its going to get this summer. I don't have original door frames but have some from an old soft top that seem to be close enough. Wondering if anyone has any detail photos of how the bows go?

Not having a set myself, I would assume the detailed work by jpet and the others on the 2A forum, the details would pretty much be the same - except for the door rods.  I would guess that difference being mostly due to the windshield frame differences.

I took a few photos a while back of some of the rod connections (between the bows) just for my own understanding.  How detailed did you need?

Those photos I did see, and they answer some questions. The rods that form the back of the door dip one way or the other. From these photos they look like they dip toward the center. Also wanted to see if the rods that go into the windshield should rest against the windshield or have a little room in front of them.

I'm not sure about the doors.  I have BesTop doors.  The attachment at the windshield frame is a guess. 

Below is a pic I took of Neal Rohrke's '54 way back when I lived in KS.  the angle doesn't show what you're asking but my assumption is the rod is not in contact with the w/s frame but secured with probably nuts on both sides (I don't remember looking behind that bracket and don't have a pic of that).

I made mine from several pics Mr. Wade sent me with a 1" gridlines behind them. They turned out great!  PM him and I'll see if I can find them. I posted a thread on the old cj3bpage forum. Let me see if I can find it
