I'm in the process of doing a ground up restoration on a 57 CJ3B that I've owned since I was 20 years old. I retired 2 years ago. 1962 replacement body is at a body shop now. Engine removed and rebuilt, frame sandblasted and painted, new clutch, brake shoes, wheel cylinders, drums, lines yada, yada, yada but still learning. Just found out that the replacement side steps are not diamond plate, bummer! If all goes well, I'll be rebuilding the starter and generator and reassembling with new fenders and wiring harness (after I find out where the starter button goes) in time for parades next spring. I'm sure you'll be hearing from me. I'll try not to cry or scream too loudly!
