We just got our jeep back and one of the repairs was having the vent latch welded on that Stony made. I am so glad that we were able to restore this part of our Willys rather than having the vent screwed shut. Thanks again Stony we appreciate your hard work!

And just as an observation....that vent is very useful if you happen to have a full enclosure for your jeep....a great source of cooling air and air to defrost the window....

I often wondered why it was there....but now I know.....

The shop we had our Willys at, took it for a drive today to make sure it was still shifting correctly with our new transmission and clutch, and Ryan called and said "your air conditioning is still working at 100% cold". Funny since it was 37�. He just wanted to drive the Willys! :D

Well the vent stop Stony made is on our jeep and just needs a little tweaking to be perfect. The spring he made for the vent handle also works great. With a few patching areas where the po screwed the vent shut and new seals we finally have our vent fully functional. Thanks again Stony! Great job and we appreciate it!

Hey boys and girls, l am kinda going out of the stop business for a while.  Bacame snowbirds so will not have access to my tools till April.  But I do have a bunch of "not quite good enough" stops.  Mostly the "feet" are not quite right or they are not quite symmetrical (that was before it occurred to me that once it is installed you can only see one side at a time LOL).  Anyway they should work just fine (and they are cheap) just not quite up to my standards.  Thanks to everyone that got one and thanks to everyone that took the time to look at this thread, pushing 8000 views is pretty amazing!

Thanks for remaking this very important part for us! Our "not so perfect" stop works just fine. A tiny bit of filing before we welded it on and it is perfect. We appreciate your time and dedication to keep these pieces of history together and looking great!

Hi Stoney!
Went to a car and tractor show yesterday and showed a bunch of people your stop and spring and just how well it works! Gosh it sure makes a difference in the air flow of our jeep in this hot weather. We told everyone how important it was to find authentic parts or new stock that is almost impossible to find because it's so small it's not remade. You have made it possible to open and close our vent on our CJ3A. Thanks again! Trish  :)
