Soft Top
« on: May 05, 2017, 10:47:14 AM »
Hi All,
I have a CJ3A with a 2A windshield.

I am looking for soft tops for it and are the orignal style.
My jeep is an MB replica.

Any way I can get an original style MB soft top?

Definitely need some direction...

I would try here.

https://www.beachwoodcanvas.com/

You can call them. They were very helpful when I ordered my top/enclosure

Okay, then this is what I would do.  Contact Jpet with a PM (private mail) over at the 2A page.  He knows a lot about canvas top fitment issues.  That you have a 3A would only be relevant if you were trying to make a 2A or 3A style canvas top work with your combination Willys.

Ask Jpet:  Assuming I have MB style top bows, will a standard MB canvas top work with a 2A windshield??

If his answer is yes, then get yourself a set of MB bows and a MB canvas top from any of the recommended  canvas top suppliers.  Jpet might even make this style, but Im not sure.

Thanks for the help!

Also,
Isnt the 2A /3A slightly longer than the MB?

Wouldnt this lengthen the canvas?

Jordan,
There are some differences between the MB/2A/3A tubs, but dimensionally, they are the same.  You can interchange all the tubs and all the frames with very little tweaking.

The MB windshield is about 2" shorter than the 2A windshield.  This is the primary difference.  Because of this, I assume the MB top will work with the 2A windshield as long as you have the matching MB bows, but I have never tried this combination.  I'm pretty sure Jpet will have an answer.
