In actual use I have run all 3 types of axle shafts.
In 1985 I went exclusively to Rzeppa joints in my Dana 25's.
I ran them with Power Loks and had zero problems
Very soon I'll be converting back to Dana 30's and Spicer type joints.

It's my opinion that Rzeppa shafts are the absolute optimum for anyone with D25 or D27 steering axles.
IMHO the Bendix are the worst.

Desireability pretty well follows the maximun steering angle specifications.
Bendix = 23*
Spicer = 27-1/2 *
Rzeppa = 29*

Bendix and Rezeppa are constant velocity type universal joints. The single Spicer Cardan cross is not a constant velocity design.

Well Oldtime, I read your post on CJ2 and posted there and totally agree with you. I want and need a constant velocity joint and the Rzeppa is the one and only one for the CJ2 and 3. I have a Lock Right in the rear axle and it made a 100% improvement in traction on hills.

On the Hole in the Rock trail I impressed the $60,000+ Chrysler's and Fiats that are called Jeeps but really aren't.   ;D

I think the Rzeppa are far superior to the Bendix joints.

After looking at the Bendix and Rzeppa I agree. I just sent you a PM.

To me it's kinda funny how everyone seems to be searching for Spicer shafts when Rzeppas are a superior design.

Can they be interchanged in an axle?  I can't use the Rzeppas from a 27 to replace the Spicers in a 25, can I?

Yes they can certainly be interchanged but you do have to address the possible differences concerning axle shaft end float adjustment.
