« on: January 06, 2017, 08:55:56 PM »
My hood blocks have split in several pieces and need to be replaced. Any recommendations for type of wood ?

Hood blocks were original, factory installed equipment.

Why are some hood blocks lined up with headlights while on others the passenger side is offset toward the center of the hood?  Thanks Road Tramp

The CJ2A has a wiper blade and motor mounted at the top of the windshield. The blocks were positioned on the hood to avoid a conflict between the block and the wiper blade while the windshield is down.

Early CJ3As continued with the offset blocks even though the wiper motors were moved to the bottom of the windshield. Eventually during 3A production, Willlys Overland started installing them equidistant from the center seam in the hood.
