I have despised my 12v wiper motors and arms since day one. They tend to blow all over the place when driving and make the windshield worse when I get caught in the rain. I have the simple wipers and motors that you see all over eBay. I have tried using stiffer springs but it is still useless.
Has anyone had success with a wiper kit? I would like to get something with a standard arm that takes a typical wiper blade that I can pick up at the auto parts store.

I have not seen anything better. Perhaps a coating of rainx on the glass will help keep the water off.

Nice set up Rick. When the time comes I think I'll copy your work.

I just picked up a 52 CJ3A this past weekend and it has a single electric motor set up with linkage to run the wipers. Believe it might be a CJ5 or 7 set up. Uses regular wipers.

Looks good Rick. I have been experimenting with different parts, just haven't found a working combination of parts yet. Too tight against the windshield, too much weight. . . at least I know there is hope. At least I have the rainex.
