Be careful. Walcks and Kaiser Willy's really are good because their parts usually seem to fit which eliminates alot of frestraution and guess work, but they really mark up their prices. An example, thermostats usually cost no more then $2, they are almost $10 on those websites. I usually Google search the part number and find hits which usually cost way less.
As the gas tank goes, if you have a original gas tank that is still solid, try cleaning it out. Flush it out really good first. Then pour a gallon of white vinegar in it and top off with water and let it sit for a few days. Then flush it out again. You can put some heat on it to evaporate out all the water but be careful not to use too much heat or you could warp it.
I had a gas tank that I thought was hopeless and this did wonders. It also worked on a good friends gas tank.
