Oil Bath Air Filter
« on: October 19, 2015, 07:29:38 AM »
Hello again. First of all I just want to say you all are great. I dont know where I would be without all the help I have got from the people on the 3a page.

I have a oil bath air filter I hot from one of my parts jeeps. The top just rests on the middle part. It does just not seem right. I feel like it should lock down. Is there a certain gasket that makes a tight seal or am I perhaps missing some type of latch?

Hi Austin,
There are a few different types of Oil Bath Filters that you will find on a 3A.  These are the most common types

Donaldson.  This has a band that locks the bottom and top together.

OakesThis has clips that hold the bottom to the top.
